The 12 Hub Podcast
Welcome to The 12Hub Sneaker Podcast – Where kicks, culture, and convos collide.
Hosted by Hugh Mulzac, Dakari Boddie & Mike Wavs, The 12Hub is more than just another sneaker podcast. It’s a space where we break down the latest drops, unbox the grails, and talk about what sneakers really mean in the bigger picture — music, identity, hustle, and legacy.
Each week, we tap in with collectors, creatives, entrepreneurs, and everyday heads who keep the culture moving. From wild stories in the resale game to navigating life, family, and business — we keep it real, insightful, and unapologetically rooted in the culture.

The sneaker resale market is shifting. Discover which platform—eBay, GOAT, or StockX—offers the lowest fees and best protection.
The sneaker secondary market is cooling down, forcing major platforms to completely rewrite their business models to survive. This episode deconstructs the mechanics behind modern footwear retail, tracking how StockX leverages gamified mystery boxes and a locked 10% credit loop to trap consumer capital. The discussion highlights an insider look at systemic inventory liquidation, where independent boutiques secretly offload sitting stock below retail directly through online authentication channels.
Beyond market dynamics, the analysis pivots to structural footwear performance, breaking down why certain technical silhouettes fail during daily wear and the exact point where uneven sole degradation triggers physical injury. Finally, the team evaluates structural logistics across major digital marketplaces, matching itemized user fees against carrier infrastructure to determine which platform yields the highest actual margins for independent sellers in 2026.

SPEAKER_01Welcome. This is episode number 60. 60, baby. 12 Hub Podcast. The crew is here again this week. Two weeks in a row. If you want to run a fucking run here.
SPEAKER_00Like the Knicks, baby.
SPEAKER_01Like the Knicks. 12 Hub and Five. And five. How's everybody's week going? Oh boy, it's going. It's going.
SPEAKER_00It's happening, man. But tomorrow's Friday at the time of recording. So thank God for that.
SPEAKER_01This will be out on Friday. The pace I'm going. Busting out five podcasts this week. Feast. Feast. That's crazy. I don't know how that even works, man. Glad I have a solid team. And Groc. A team of one? A bunch of people.
SPEAKER_00Crazy Grok.
SPEAKER_01Got a whole bunch of AI agents and children working coal mines for me.
SPEAKER_00Hey, you know what they say? Using all that AI, you're the reason why. You're the reason why our kids are never going to know what snow is.
SPEAKER_01Electric bill's so high. Or is it going to be the reason why our kids will be living in the next ice age?
SPEAKER_00It is hot as fit outside. Pretty warm is an understatement. It's like 1.03 today.
SPEAKER_01In DC?
SPEAKER_00Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_01Dang. I'm moving back. I gotta figure out.
SPEAKER_02Yo, it's hotter than Texas. It's hotter than that.
SPEAKER_00Oh, the 7-Eleven uh staff knew me very well today.
SPEAKER_01What was you doing? Getting Slurpees?
SPEAKER_00I got one. I treated myself towards the end of my day, but um just getting ice because I had a case of water and I just kept running through. They're nice to me there. Now they're charging. 7-Eleven knows when to put that sign up that ice is 99 cent.
SPEAKER_01For a cup?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because normally, man, if you're in and out or if you bring your own cup, they don't really care, but they realize, man, how much money they could be getting if they just simply charge a little bit for some ice, which is crazy. Because if you have the app, that bit gold with ice plus a beverage is 59 cents. So you might as well fill it up with a beverage while you're in there.
SPEAKER_01Or fill it up with if you just want some water, you might as well. Well, yeah, unless you want to drink that beverage. They got diet. I drink diet sodas now.
SPEAKER_00I mean, shit, even if you fill it up with their you know, filter water, I might as well fill it up with something if I'm uh be charged.
SPEAKER_01Fill her up, fill her up. Yeah, so what goes on? I don't know. What else goes on? You guys been uh keeping busy buying shit?
SPEAKER_00I have been doing one of those things. Spoiler alert, it's not buying shit.
SPEAKER_02Oh I had a pickup come in late last week. That was it. I haven't been buying much.
SPEAKER_00We might as well get into it now. What did everybody get besides me? Which one? I've never seen that, Bob.
SPEAKER_01Oh, is that the Donkey Kong one?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's a slide. Oh I can wear that? Oh, that's got fur on the buttons. Your feet are gonna sweat.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh thanks. Precursor to the mind. I'll wear them around and I'll send them to you because I know how much you love used shit.
SPEAKER_01I like those slides, though. I have a pair, they're very cozy.
SPEAKER_00Every time I think about the rejuvenates, I think about like the precursor to the mind craze. Because at one point, rejuvenates were pretty tough to get. People would go crazy.
SPEAKER_01The mind craze is starting to go down a little bit.
SPEAKER_00Resale is because they heat resell them, which is good for people that want them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, a lot of people celebrities love them for some reasons. I still don't have a pair.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you tried a pair. I I had the lace-ups. What is it? The O2s?
SPEAKER_01They're all you know, four, whatever.
SPEAKER_02So I don't love them. I don't I don't like the feeling on my feet, and they suck to driving. So that's just my opinion. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01You got them pedals on your car. Yeah. I like I mean they worked for me, but now that I've worn them down, I was gonna mention this last week, I forgot to. I stopped wearing them because I have this awkward gait. So you know how like your soles sometimes the back heel wears faster or kind of leans or whatever, like on Jordan's or whatever. So this thing, the front nubs started wearing down faster than the back ones.
SPEAKER_02You must drag your feet.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so my I don't know what I went for a walk and I'm usually I I'm super coat comfortable on the walk. I love that feeling of the things like kind of massaging my feet. I get back home and my ankle hurts. I'm like, why the fuck does my ankle? And it's like I'm I'm it as I was going down, you know, and right and the ride was different because it kept going to the side, going to the side because this nub kept was worn down more than the other nubs. So just watch out for that if you're wearing the shoe, people. Like the nubs when they wear down, if they're not evenly worn down, it's gonna be the worst fucking ride ever. I mean, it's still kind of you feel the the thing, but imagine like, you know, just a fucked up pair of shoes that you had for a while, and and um it's it's it's you know it's leaning this way or that way, and it makes and it and it puts a little more pressure on your um it's like getting your tires rotated.
SPEAKER_00Gotta make sure the treads are worn even. I'm waiting for the comments to be like what were you wearing the most side? Those are inside shoes.
SPEAKER_02No, that the sneakers. The sneakers, the ones that lace up.
SPEAKER_01Oh, too. So inside Souches, too. And they could be if you took the look. I mean, you can slide them on, they're not too hard. But I mean they're they're they're they're very look for what I like. I I like them, they're comfortable, they made my day.
SPEAKER_02But I just don't like the way they look on feet either. I feel I feel like they're like elderly people's shoes or something. I just don't think that's it.
SPEAKER_01Everybody hates the this yeah, I like them for some reason. Maybe I'm just old now.
SPEAKER_00You might be elderly.
SPEAKER_01That's a lot. Yeah. Yeah. That's it for you, Drew.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Wait the fuck, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_01You got it, wait. You got the mic too. I just noticed that. Yeah. This guy was don't buy it, waste of money.
SPEAKER_02That's not what I said. That's not what I said. You sound like don't buy two. I said, don't buy two. Do you see two? I don't have two. You bought two.
SPEAKER_01I bought two.
SPEAKER_02I'll send it to me. Every supreme, yeah, right? Every supreme purchase is a waste of money. Come on. It's like buying Apple products. As soon as you slap the brand on there, all of a sudden you increase the cost.
SPEAKER_00So he got those things nearby. Like he's proud.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you got those quick.
SPEAKER_00He's holding them like Brunson holding MVP and Finals trophy.
SPEAKER_02So you have three of them? Or just the two? Is one of those boxes empty? I might have gotten three. I'm not gonna say.
SPEAKER_01You're a problem, man. I got two. That said the other box is empty. I mean, that's a rack for microphones. I mean, we get the oh, I have to follow up on that sponsorship. But Kari, I'll I'll hook you up if you need it when I move back down there.
SPEAKER_00I mean, if if we're continuing to grow, we get the sponsor, you move here. I might as well.
SPEAKER_01I might as well have a I got you. I got you. I'm not gonna use it for nothing. I'm just gonna hold on to it. You know, we're not reselling. I have a bid in for uh like for $350 for one or so. If somebody gets desperate and wants to sell for crackhead prices, I'll get another one. I don't need to. I got it one, I got a black one of these already. It's cool. This one sounds a little I don't know if it's you, but I've I mean I don't know if if you've used it yet, but I've uh I recorded twice with it and it sounds really good, like a little bit better. Maybe because I didn't calibrate the other one.
SPEAKER_02Maybe I didn't do it, I just plugged mine in. I didn't touch anything else. Yeah, I this is the first time using it.
SPEAKER_01I messed with the calibrations on the on my original one when I had it hooked up to the app, so it might have messed up the internal, not messed it up, but you know, it might be calibrated a little differently. But I like the way this one sounds, sounds the same, and the lights are it's doing the multicolor thing, which the other one didn't do. Fancy.
SPEAKER_02You just have to set it. It's a setup.
SPEAKER_01I know, I know. I set it to like solid green or something like that, but now it's doing like it's moving and it's turning purple and red.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but if for for the record, that's not unique to the Supreme microphone. You can do that with any shore M7, MV7 Plus or whatever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Oh, this is fresh to me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what happens when you're when you're in the nerd business.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this is this this made my day, though. It's all I needed this week. I think I'm gonna stop buying stuff for a while.
SPEAKER_02Maybe. You know, we have quite a lot. Wait, wait, where are we in the recording? What's the time check? Nine minutes. Yo, book book, bookmark that. I mean, it's no we're gonna play it over and over. It's gonna be a sound bite on the sound machine. Every time you show what you bought, I'm I'm done buying stuff for a while. That's it's just gonna be on demand. It should be on the board.
SPEAKER_01It should be on the board for short. I need to learn how to I need to learn how to make a soundboard. I have a stream deck here with like 50,000 buttons on it. I don't have it doing anything.
SPEAKER_00Yo, I already know there would be a select few buttons that I would have to put on that soundboard. Um, something from the glizzy conversation will have to go on there. So many gems to choose from. Um, even though it's cut content, I would still, for the love of the game, put you vote for Sean. Who did you vote for? That would be a clip for sure. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, me and Sean was arguing today, man. So he said some dumb shit about Michael Jordan on the lat on the other podcast, right? We saw. We saw. Oh, yeah. Well, this is the funny part. He was wrong, and people calling him out in the comments for it. And I called him, I was like, this is this was his argument. He said that Michael Jordan was the only player ever to win MVP, defensive player, first team, defensive player, so first, I mean, all NBA first team, finals MVP, and MVP or something like that. So it was four things, four or five things. I thought it was I thought it was D P O Y. Yeah, and yeah, no, he did that, but he said he was the only one to do the other thing as well. And I was like, no, LeBron did it, and he was like, No, he didn't, he didn't do it, nobody did it. And then I'm like, okay, whatever. I know this is a guy. I'm like, you you figure it out. Go find out this information. So he googles it, right? His Google is biased or some shit. Sends me a screenshot. No, I'm dead serious. It said that it it's it's um they said LeBron did it, but didn't do it in the same season. Like, I don't even understand what that even means. So I was just like, that doesn't, that's not even happening. What does that even mean?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but but didn't do it in the same season, then he didn't do it, so and then it's a peep game.
SPEAKER_01Hakeem Elajuan did it too. I didn't know that. So I'm like, so wait, Hakim did it and and and LeBron did it, but you just said on the podcast, and you're arguing with people that Jordan was the only one that did this. And he's like, Well, well, then fix Google. Google's like, Google told me this. I'm like, yo, you just believe anything, don't you? If you you Google it and it and it fits your narrative, then you believe it. And I'm like, fix Google. Yeah, he said he told me to go write Google to fix it. Otherwise, he's just gonna keep running with what the fuck he's saying. I'm like, do you understand what you're saying right now? You know who you said.
SPEAKER_00He said it's Es and stone for Wikipedia.
SPEAKER_01No, that's what I told him, bro. I was like, bro, we live through who'd you vote for? No, yeah, who exactly I said this is I said this is exactly what Trump people do. That's what I told him. This is why I'm getting diarrhea from my letters to them. No, that's true, yeah. But you I was like, how the fuck are you gonna tell me something? He just won't admit he's wrong. I don't understand, just admit you're wrong. You made a mistake. It's easy. I corrected myself when they were we're talking about Howard County and uh uh Dayute, uh with the other co-host. He goes, I lived at Howard County, that's the one of the it's the best county in the country uh uh you know to live in or whatever, right? I googled it, went to a website with best counties in the world, the country to live in. That didn't show up, but it was a different type of website. It was like a local thing, like, oh, these are the ones, you know, like some bullshit, you know, like uh in Wyoming or whatever.
SPEAKER_00In Maryland, that's known to have like a ton of billionaires. I don't know if it's Montgomery County, it's Howard.
SPEAKER_01It is how we're in between Baltimore and um and DC. And it's yeah, that's where but our friend Day grew up out there, and I looked it up. Yeah, per capita, it has a higher uh income than Arlington. I thought Arlington was the most, but they're at what uh average median income of 125k to 140k. Arlington's 90 to 120. Departments in Arlington are cheap. I'm about you know looking at them right now, it's pretty cheap. Cheaper. I mean, cheap considering I mean, depending on what you're trying to pay.
SPEAKER_00If you want to live above uh overrated pizzeria and a block away from a metro station that's always got delays, I get yeah, I guess Arlington's cool.
SPEAKER_01What overrated pizzeria are you talking about?
SPEAKER_00Uh here in Arlington? I'm about to say throw a uh dart at the board.
SPEAKER_01Wise guys is good. Wise guy's cool. They got one in DC, though, right? They have a location. They got a couple, they make that 18-inch pot. It's the closest thing to New York pizza. And yo, it's right when we was living there, it was right downstairs pretty much. I just walked, I drive over there because I want my pizza to get cold, but a lot of people like Andy's too.
SPEAKER_00This is not gonna turn into a regional pizza thing. Well, um yeah.
SPEAKER_01Wait, was Andy's around three years ago? That doesn't sound familiar.
SPEAKER_00Andy's is in Tyson's. Oh, in Tyson's. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. They got other location too, but yeah. Anyway, yeah. So wait.
SPEAKER_01This is a sneaker. Back to you.
SPEAKER_00So Drew showed what he got. What did you get? Because I know you had to get something.
SPEAKER_01Some microphones. Um something I bought from Travis Scott. I gotta like, it's being shipped out, some camo shorts. I don't know. You remember ordering those. So that I haven't bought any sneakers. Um I've been selling stuff. So I got a lot of my well, a quarter of my Supreme stuff on the Vault app. I already sold a couple of pieces. What um what's you say you sold recently? Uh of note. Those free run twos, a bunch of Jordans that I lost like 40 to 50 bucks on. They're all like Jordan fives and fours and threes. Um, I don't know what the models are off the top of my head. Uh you just said the models. No, I mean like the colorway, sorry. Oh, like a grape, like all the grape five.
SPEAKER_02God, the market's so sad on grape fives. Yo, I remember grape fives. Wait, I mean, that could be like a hip break. Yeah, so disrespectful.
SPEAKER_00Somebody with some grape fives that was relatively icy, or if they had a whole pair with Nike Air on them. Man, that that post was going crazy. He was liking it, might follow the person, stopping people on the street. Oh, the post of Jordan, grapefives with Nike Air, win. Bring them back.
SPEAKER_01Now they're just like, oh, my wheat 13s. I sold wheat 13s. I bought those and sold them and bought them again, and then I ended up selling these for a little under what I paid. Not too bad. 210, I got. I mean, whatever.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm gonna give you the name of my shrink because I actually go to therapy for my spending habits. So I'm I'm gonna share with you.
SPEAKER_01I'm talking to my therapist about it, my gambling habits and all that shit.
SPEAKER_02You you gotta get that under control, man. Pop some pills and calm your brain.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna do pills, yeah. Not me.
SPEAKER_00I think you know it'll help. My therapist for uh spending is uh my account balance. I'm looking at question number roll. Think twice sheep. Goodbye.
SPEAKER_01It's crazy. I owe goat money. That's crazy. How do I how do I owe a selling platform money? They charge storage fees now. You know that? What?
SPEAKER_02No, yeah. I don't store with goat.
SPEAKER_01Well, if they reject your shoe, I don't want them to ship it back to me. They charge you $15. Now they charge you two dollars a shoe to store it.
SPEAKER_02So I'd rather pay the $15 and not have to forget that I'm paying the two bucks every month to have them store it.
SPEAKER_01I think it's a flat fee.
SPEAKER_02Uh $2 for the year, forever for purple too.
SPEAKER_01Because they keep I hope so.
SPEAKER_02That makes no sense.
SPEAKER_01Well, it says two bucks. That's it.
SPEAKER_00I've used goat storage maybe twice, and then in the long run, you're not really saving any money, especially if you intend to get the shoe and wear it, so I stop.
SPEAKER_01Well, remember they used to do it store it for free and not charge you well, they still don't charge fact check too.
SPEAKER_02You got I don't know what's gonna be. So goat does not have a flat fee, standard storage fee. Items can be kept in goat storage for free. But the company reserves the right to charge a fee if items remain unsold or unretrieved for an extended length of time.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I had three shoes that are pending two dollar fees right now. Because they must be. No, they they were sold and they said the box remember the the biotech Air Max. Oh, your box was crap. Oh no, it's a great. That one said it had the crease, and then um I sold uh a Run Club Air Max 90, a deep royal one, which is a nice shoe, but somebody was willing to pay 230 bucks for it, so I was like, okay, but they box was bad and they rejected it, even though I gave them 5% off, which makes no sense if you're gonna wear it. And a grape five, which I got from like freaking Foot Locker, but apparently was tried on and it had scuffs on the sole, which I didn't look at it before I sent it over. I just kind of just because it was perfectly wrapped up, you know. Like usually when Foot Locker has something that's been tried on, the paper's all messed up. I didn't even open it, I just I kind of peeked at it and was like, okay, it's in there, and then I mailed it off. That grape five. So I actually didn't sell the great five.
SPEAKER_00It's in I never did like the boutique side of retail. I worked in some nice establishments, but nothing that you would consider white glove experience. Listen, brother, once I unwrap that burrito of a jump man jack or Jordan 5, I'm gonna try my best. Like, I couldn't imagine working at a place that was moving brick by brick, so brick after brick, because the intricate process of how those were packaged. Hey, brother, here's the band, here's the paper, you figure it out. I think most you got it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think most people that do boutiques don't try on shit. That is true. Yeah, a lot of people tell them it is what it is. I bought stuff at Alma Maniere in DC, and I like when they this is back when you could actually buy stuff. And uh when they had it, I was like, all right, just give me the plug. I didn't even look at it, I just took it.
SPEAKER_00It could be a they could be celibate a box of bricks for real. Yeah. One thing I've learned that everyone who deals with Alma Maniere, whether it's here, Atlanta or whatever, lately they've been saying if you're not plugged in and it's not PR, you might as well go somewhere else.
SPEAKER_01This new era.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, so I did want to talk about since we are talking about resale and selling, stock X mystery box things.
SPEAKER_00Since we were talking about gambling, yeah, gambling, reselling.
SPEAKER_02I mean I think it's a gimmick, just another gimmick. Honestly, mystery boxes got so out of hand with kids buying, you know, spending money for like hundred dollar shoes, especially conventions between the getting ripped off. But the the stock X one it at least shows you your odds of what you're gonna get, but I don't know what what's the point if I'm gonna get something that I'm saving 10 bucks on, uh, I don't know, a shoe that I didn't want.
SPEAKER_00It's it's a lot of pros and cons to it, depending on how you look at it. I do respect the fact that StockX is trying to stay afloat in this changing you know landscape. Sneakers aren't as hot as they once were amongst certain people. Now it's blind box toys and trading cards, so they're adding some of that umine that you get when you experience those other hobbies into that platform. I respect it. You gotta you gotta move with the times. I also respect the fact that they'll buy it back from you within like 10%. So you pull something, you don't like it, you get it back in stock X credit, so they're not taking a hit. It's all going back into their ecosystem. It guarantees that you'll continue to be a customer, and as the person who is buying the box not being happy and selling it back, okay, maybe I can get another sneaker or another collectible or Pokemon card or Lego set. So I get it. But I think it's also no, no, I cut you off.
SPEAKER_02Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00No, I was saying at the same time, it is a gamble because when you go to StockX, you kind of already got an idea of what you want to get. You're looking for something. So instead of getting that surefire thing, whether you got a save up for it, split in four, what Uh put a bid on it, what have you, you're gonna take a risk to get something that you didn't initially come for. And if you don't like it, you're gonna lose 10%. So you're farther away from getting something that you actually wanted.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I also think it's a bit of they're trying to drive traffic to the site because now they're selling used items. So they made more noise about the mystery box, and then you just happen to stumble upon the icon if you're using the app where it says, you know, list it or whatever it says for the used items. So I I think that's also part of it, is kidding.
SPEAKER_01They're just doing everything that I I think they're really just trying to knock out the competition, like the whatnots and all those other things, because pretty soon they're gonna have live auctions because they're gonna start integrating some kind of feature where it's so you know, socializing it. And you know, they tried the NFT thing, they've done all the all the tricks, and they have to have a lot of people.
SPEAKER_02They're gonna have to change their fee structure though. If they're gonna go out to the whatnot, is that you can't do, I mean, whatnot just has flat fees, you're not paying like all these itemized fees, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And that's the biggest problem. That's why it's so hard to uh I mean you can move a lot of stuff on stockx because people know the brand, but you're not gonna make a ton of money. But for for somebody like me, dude, I didn't know because I had all my stuff listed on GOAT how fast I could sell on StockX. Like literally, as I'm listing it, I'm like, oh, I mean, I know I paid $220 for it, but somebody already has a bid in for $180. Go. I don't care, right? And people do that. So if you were to rank that brand recognition, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But if you were to rank the resale platforms, eBay, goat, and stock X, how would you rate them? My rating would be I'm an eBay buyer, so eBay, GOAT, stock X is always last for me.
SPEAKER_00Okay, my experience with StockX will put them over GOAT, but it's I want to give goat an edge because stock X is like you say, all those itemized fees, you're like you'll see something on stock X that's 200. On GOAT is probably 215, 220. But after you even everything out, it's still probably cheaper to get it on GOAT. Um, but there's like the the the ease of use, like H was saying with stock X is there, and talking to somebody and getting customer service and credits and stuff when there's an issue has been easier from whatever I've experienced with stock X than with GOAT. So, and then and then who they ship with. You order something on GOAT, you'll be getting uh text messages from uh Snail's Pace Express or some random shipper. You're like, yo, who who is this? I didn't even recognize my packages on the way because I thought some robocaller was texting me about something that I had no idea.
SPEAKER_01That's a bit of a manure.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like I I had a package come from Goat not too long ago from a company called Veho or something like that. Yeah, I've gotten that's the last thing. I was like, I mean, I still got it, it was in decent condition. They kept me up to date on my delivery, so I'm not complaining. But it's just like you got that uniformity of UPS with stockx. You know, if that package goes missing, I'm not ass out. I'm gonna call stock X, I'm gonna call UPS, I'm gonna figure something out. Um so I would say probably to answer Drew's question, eBay, stock X, Go.
SPEAKER_01Same thing, all right.
SPEAKER_00But I don't I don't buy anything crazy.
SPEAKER_02Go was my number two.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, I don't buy anything crazy on the on the resale platforms because when you when it comes to like authenticity, I probably lean towards eBay the most, but like a lot of people are like, I don't buy shit on stock X. I buy on Go because stock X shit is fake. I'm like, brother, go they're all fake deals with the same things too, brother. If you unsure, probably just don't buy it at all. Yeah, if it's like that. Like, but what about you, H?
SPEAKER_01What's your rank? I'd say from buying goat stock uh goat stock X eBay, because I don't I don't buy much on eBay, and when I have bought stuff on eBay, I mean I'm talking electronics maybe or something something that's like I bought a camcorder that I you know and I had some old tapes that I wanted. Yeah, and I got a good deal on it, it worked, but um for the sneakers thing, I just started doing it, like selling uh the experience is pretty good, but that it's a weird process. I don't know, Drew. Have you ever sold anything on there? Yeah, it's weird.
SPEAKER_02I only sell my shoes on eBay.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so and then I don't know if this was your experience, but the authentication process. So I set up everything. I I sold my uh what was it, one of those free run twos, right? So somebody just bought it. 150. I paid 40 bucks for the shit. I'm like, hell yeah, I just made some money. I get the stuff. It took me forever to find a shipping label in the platform, and I finally found it. And my my my eBay thing is all fucked up, it didn't have my current address on it or anything, so I had to fix all that and redo the labels and everything. So that's out of the way. Print the label, it goes to some random place in New Jersey for authentication. No, it was a person, it said like Bob something, and that's oh okay.
SPEAKER_02So it's the same experience.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I was like, I thought that was the person who bought the thing, but I was like, wait, don't they authenticate it first? I was like, whatever. So I send it. Takes them about eight days to do this whole process, and then I get an email saying, Oh, it's been authenticated. So I was like, Oh, I guess Bob was the authenticator. Great, it just shifts out. Where's my money? It's still on hold.
SPEAKER_02All right, so I guess they don't everything goes when that's eBay until the seller or the buyer receives the item and gets gives it the okay. They do not they the funds are held in escrow. So you okay, no touching.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's fine. So the thing delivered today. I haven't checked if my funds are available yet. I don't know if the person opened the box or whatever, but my funds, but if all said and done and it's all good, I only paid 12 bucks, uh, them 12 dollars, made 138 bucks. Which is if I'd sold that on GOAT, I'd be out 20 bucks. If I sold on StockX, I'd be out 30 bucks. You know what I'm saying? So it's uh overall, it takes a little longer the process, but you get your stuff. When I bought other things, but I usually buy from trusted sellers, and this is most mainly electronics and random shit. I should that shit is like basically like buying it off on Amazon sometimes, you know. Like I get it in less than a week, or maybe even next day if they ship it out fast, or you know, two days if they ship it out fast enough. So, but you know, it's for me, sneaker buying has been flawless on goat, besides the fact that sometimes I do make mistakes where I buy a woman size by mistakes, they forget it's a woman's release or some nonsense like that, which I've done like multiple times, or if I put a and then you know, can I put bids in on the stupid thing? I bought a children's size 12 once on on that Air Jordan um bread toe with the and that with the Air Jordan printed on the side. I bought it early because I wanted this. I was like, Oh, this is dope. This is talking about reimagined black toe, yeah, with the with the with the Air Jordan, right? So I bought it a year like months before it came out.
SPEAKER_02Who buys that shoe on resale?
SPEAKER_01No, I bought it, I bought it, I wanted it. I was like, oh, this is dope. And I put a bid in of 250 on a size 12. It was a size 12 children's because the picture, I just saw the picture and I was like, size 12.
SPEAKER_00250, even on the men's size would be crazy.
SPEAKER_01I have that shoe and I'm looking at it. I'm like, this is not gonna be worth 250 till after.
SPEAKER_02I think I paid $98 for my pair.
SPEAKER_01I got three pairs and I paid retail for both of them. And I have a $250 children's one.
SPEAKER_00This is that's a dope pair, but yeah, this is why Jordan thinks it's okay to charge $200 for their latest signature, but $230 for a retro.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No, hearing crazy. Guess how much this hat costs? What kind of hat is that? I just want to guess, I'll tell you, but I just wanted you guys to guess how much it's cost. $250. Very close. It's a $200 hat. So you remember um Huddy Combs? You know who that is? The cereal? No, no, Huddy Combs. He's he used to manage Mace and used to be Mace's mace, the rappers manager. He's a old New York. No, well, so he died in a car accident, and like on I guess it was the anniversary of his family or his son, I don't remember who. They they set up a website and they were selling these hats. And this is around the time when this is like 2021 or 22, I think, when um Kanye made hats like this, right?
SPEAKER_00Oh no, easy flame. I just saw that.
SPEAKER_01On the gap, yeah. And he was saying the the there was a controversy. I made a video on 12 Hub about it where they came out and said that Kanye had stolen the idea after he met with Huddy Combs' family because he they wanted to collab on it because he, you know, Kanye and Huddy, or whatever he wanted to do something with. Bro, it's a long story. It's only been a few seconds. So um he did they they talked about it. Kanye goes to them and he decided to put it out himself and they did a few videos and all this stuff talking about yeah, Kanye fucked me over, and they they stole the design, even though the status stole that design from the Nike Flame Cap. No, dude, this is this is um the race car NASCAR. This is NASCAR shit, right? Yeah, this is old school.
SPEAKER_00I mean so many people that's done flame caps, so white guy about NASCAR.
SPEAKER_02I don't know shit about NASCAR.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I didn't say no, I just said this now. Did I say blue? Did I say white? I've looked at I'm looking at the camera.
SPEAKER_02You're always saying white guy, so I'm just he's a z word, he's so insecure.
SPEAKER_01Zaddy.
SPEAKER_00I'm not saying it. You know what Z word are. I ain't saying Zionist.
SPEAKER_01You're not a Zionist. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00So back to the flame cap.
SPEAKER_01Anyway, yeah, so they selling them, and then I got I went on the website. I was like, Oh, it's a fire. I like the Hut, you know, the HUDY six. That's what's like his number or whatever. I bought two of these joints for $200. They did not, it took them eight months to ship this shit to me. I'm like, I just paid. Yeah, but no, I'm like, I'm emailing hat was only a hundred bucks.
SPEAKER_02That's not crazy.
SPEAKER_01I mean 200 bucks.
SPEAKER_02No, 200 apiece. You spent 400 bucks on two hats.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I got the other one.
SPEAKER_00Sorry, like this is the nicer one. This one's dope, though. Listen, rest in peace to the dude with raising phones for his funeral.
SPEAKER_01He'd been dead. I don't honestly don't remember if it was in memory of or whatever, but you know, I fuck with dude. I knew him um back in the day. Like music. I just ordered off the website.
SPEAKER_02They charged you extra.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy. It came nicely packaged, it had like a pair of had some dice in it, like the for Cilo, like three dice, and had a little commemorative card. I sat there, I was like, I got these joints, and I'm like, I wasn't thinking to resell them because I liked them, but I never put them on. This is the first time I actually wear it. These are still wrapped in the plastic and stuff, and they came in this cool box. It was it was a really flimsy box that was the shape like a uh uh uh die, a die or die or dice, whatever. So I saw it when I was digging through some shit back there doing my um you know cataloging, and I was like, Oh shit. I opened it up. You know, fuck it. I'll just put these on my head finally. And I would hope you would wear it at this point. $200 in R R P Huddy, bro. Yeah, it's a nice hat. And they they I mean, oh, but it doesn't, it's not it's not a it's it's it's a fucking Velcro strap, which I thought was kind of cheap, but what are you gonna do?
SPEAKER_02Wow, you know what I'm gonna do? Not not spend 200 bucks on that hat, I can tell you that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, boy, that's just Don prices. Look at those snakeskin uh embellishment in the back with a 24 karat gold buckle. Might as well, might as well.
SPEAKER_02That might must be some fine velcro.
SPEAKER_00It's fine velcro. My snatchy neck hairs out the back.
SPEAKER_01Boy, my fucking up. But going back to the stockx thing. Um, I watched a bunch of videos about Seth Fowler. Seth Fowler dropped five G's on there trying to figure it out. Um Kari too dropped.
SPEAKER_02The other Kari, the other car speaker fetish, other car.
SPEAKER_01The fetish, the fetish. He didn't get anything good either. Nobody got anything good. It's the same shoe. That's all the same thing. Yeah, it's just stupid. It's it's you're paying more than and they charge you for shipping, which is crazy. So you spin the wheel or whatever, get the thing. So it's like they say market price, right? And market doesn't mean that's the average of all of the shoes on StockX.
SPEAKER_00They're creating with their data, by the way.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So you can see like the shoe that everybody kept getting. I forgot what oh, cement uh reimagines, but uh black cement.
SPEAKER_02Uh the black bread fours. Was it four? I thought it was the fours because the threes are actually dope. I don't mind the fours, but the threes are better, in my opinion. Well, the album and that release, the OG Bread Fours are some of the best fours ever. Yes, my favorite Jordan of all time.
SPEAKER_01Sure. So it was saying the market on one of these, I don't know if it was the three or the four, but it was like 200 bucks. And then Homie looked it up. I don't know if it was called Seth Fowler looked it up, and it was like his size was 180. And he's like, the fine prince and market, and he's like, whatever. So he's like, is it a value? If you get, I mean, if you get something, I haven't I I've gone in there casually and looked at certain things, and everybody like because they show the most recent pickups and stuff that people have won. It's all the same shit, and I haven't seen one person grab like a fucking rare Travis or anything like that yet, you know. Yeah, so see, I mean it's a money grab experience. You're buying an experience, yeah.
SPEAKER_00If you're going for like a rare Travis or an expensive grail Sean Witherspoon 971 or something like that, just save your bread and get that. Yeah, because the chances of you getting it, like a lot of times people could look at trading cards, for example, or collectible cards. Look at Pokemon, you got experts that'll break down the chances of what you'll pull. That one is a little different to me because it's a cheaper buy-in, and then those booster packs come with a set of cards in general. So for a completionist or collector, you got to get the fodder, then you shoot for the big game. Well, when you go on a platform like StockX, you're not looking to complete your Jordan one collection, and I'll take any one I can get, and hopefully, I get the rare hit. No, you're going on there for a pair of 85 Bread Ones, and everything else is irrelevant. If you pull uh a shadow one, you'll be oh, that's cool. And you can either return it to them and lose 10% and be farther away from your bread one, or you can use that dopamine, make an impulse purchase, and keep it, and now you're even farther away from that bread one, and you like settle with a shadow because that's what you've got.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's gambling.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like I think they're targeting a younger audience. I think it's it's a younger audience target.
SPEAKER_00Unlike the car game, too, like the only person you can trade in this instance, you can go to a car show, you can go with the homies in the neighborhood, you can even be around people at the store as y'all pack break and trade then and there. Go to a shop. But like with stockx, when you don't like it, you're trading back with stock X. They're charging you the shipping, you're getting your value back in credit, so they're not losing actual money, and then they're taking the 10%, they're not even taking the shipping hit. Like, no matter what the outcome, worst case scenario, stock X just made 10% of that purchase off nothing, even if you're dissatisfied.
SPEAKER_01So listen on there, and it's brilliant, and it could be coming out of their own inventory, and they're just making up these. They're I mean, obviously, you said we they make up their own market, they have inventory, and you know, this industry now, because I you know, uh remember we talked about on an earlier podcast, I think it's before Drew's time. You just made, yeah. No, they backdoor with with um who I don't know, goat and well goat uh works with Foot Locker, right? Right, right. Uh, but everybody now, the boutiques and everybody are now just selling to StockX, like directly. They're not saying, hey, since the market sucks now, and these boutiques, you know, are getting these things at what 60% of what retail is in most cases. They um they could sell right on StockX and make $10, $20 uh more, right? Than what they would make selling at retail.
SPEAKER_00And that would explain why a lot of the people, like you said, are getting like the same stuff because that same stuff is sitting at retailers, some going to factory or clearance, you know, outlets. So they're probably just buying them all up and dishing them out that way.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. It's interesting how the sneaker market's going now. I think like, you know, my plan, uh my plan was to hold a bunch of shoes for so long, but now that it's been five years, some things I have from five years ago are retroing now. Yeah, the retro cycle is way fast. Yeah, really fast. I know you'd think it would be 10 years, and some of these things can gain some value.
SPEAKER_00Because, like, even when you look at the Breath Fours, you got the 2019 OGs, you got the what 2023, 24 reimagines, and now you got this year's truest to form face box OG. So it's like Jesus.
SPEAKER_01They're doing that with another shoe, too. They're putting out a um, I think it was a five, I forgot which one. I did a reimagined of it, but I forgot which one it is that they're putting out again. It's gonna come out next year, though.
SPEAKER_00I haven't paid attention. Somebody brought it to my attention. Minus the Jordan 2. Each year they're going in sequential order with the reimagined series, and I did not pay attention to that. Like after the reimagined three was the reimagined four, last year's reimagined five, they did the reverse salesman reimagined six. I'm like, shit.
SPEAKER_02And I didn't even think about that either.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I didn't know. Wait, but what about the ones though? Ones the Lost and Found.
SPEAKER_01No, but they put out the the UNC that came out a year after that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they should have kept the UNC. I mean, they also did the Reimagine Royal. What did you do?
SPEAKER_01I think they came out on the Royal, they didn't do a two.
SPEAKER_00That's the only one they skipped because it's a two. I don't hate twos, but that's the one time that was like, Come on now. And if they did a reimagined two, Virgil kind of killed that concept when he did the off-white two. That's basically a reimagined two, right there. And he did a hell of a job on that. So I don't think they could have probably came up with anything that would have been as good. So they were just like on to the three.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, let's look at there's some new stuff. Uh I put on that list, but I'll show you some new stuff if you're interested. Releases, fam. There's not really releases, would say. These aren't releases. This is just bullshit. I have not gotten a chance to catch up.
SPEAKER_00When you do, uh, it was interesting. Shout out, Greg, once again. Uh, he's wait, didn't he do a solo one?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I saw a clip, but I shout out to his son for being a future soccer star and him being a dad of the year, man. That's that's dope. Like outside of shoes and shit. That's just great parenting. But he's he said some stuff, and I was like, hmm, interesting. We'll circle back on it when you listen to it.
SPEAKER_01We can talk about it today if you want. Yeah, this moonshoe. So Odyssey's coming out. If you guys are gonna check it out, I don't know. Should be a good movie. What the fuck?
SPEAKER_02My favorite meme is everyone's all like no spoilers for the Odyssey, and they're like, fam, we had 3,000 years to re-just they just came out with the top 10 list, or they ranked all of his movies and they put Odyssey as number two.
SPEAKER_01Who's number one? I think I'll see it first before we start ranking.
SPEAKER_02Uh Batman, one of the Batman movies was probably the Dark Knight, then if that's the case. Yeah, Dark Knight. That was it.
SPEAKER_00Christopher Nolan or James Cameron.
SPEAKER_02Nolan.
SPEAKER_00Nolan or Spielberg.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna stick with Nolan.
SPEAKER_00Boy, uh Nolan or what's another heavy hitter. I was about to say Kubrick, but I would take Nolan over Kubrick.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I like his movie. I've watched more of his movies more than once, so what about Freaky Man Tarantino?
SPEAKER_00Will he rank for you? He up there in Bradley. Yeah, what's your favorite Tarantino movie?
SPEAKER_02Uh Reservoir Dogs. That's definitely my favorite.
SPEAKER_00If we could put Kill Bill one and two into the whole bloody affair, then I'm uh I'm gonna take that. I wouldn't take Tarantino as my number one, but man, Kill Bill, it don't matter which volume at what part it's on, I'm gonna stop and watch it.
SPEAKER_02There's something about the way T Tarantino writes that just I've I'm fascinated by the conversations he's able to create. And and bringing those characters to life through conversation is just it's wild to me. So that's why I always go to Tarantino. If I'm looking for a heavy movie that you know is captivating, yeah, nolen. Right.
SPEAKER_00So if you want blood, the n-word and feet Tarantino issue. You can get that thing.
SPEAKER_02The Django.
SPEAKER_00Do they say the N-word and kill Bill?
SPEAKER_02Do they say the hard R? I don't know. I don't think they do. They they do in Pulp Fiction.
SPEAKER_00Oh, for sure. Pulp Fiction.
SPEAKER_01The Django. That's the best movie. Django Hateful Eight ever made, man. Best movie ever made. Love it. It's only like one. It's only two. That's a big statement. What? The Django's the best movie ever made. It's the best movie ever made. It's either that, or it's either the best movie ever made or the best civil rights movie ever made. I don't know. I'll just put it.
SPEAKER_00You might have me a civil rights movie ever made if we're not counting biopics, but certainly show that America's 250 on the big screen. Never.
SPEAKER_01I also enjoyed Jackie Brown and Deathproof. I thought Deathproof was really good.
SPEAKER_00Damn, we gotta start up. Don't don't tell me we need to start a movie podcast.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_00Because boy, I would be there twice a week.
SPEAKER_01I gotta see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I heard that was really good. Haven't seen it yet. Oh yeah, I knew that he's from Knoxville, Tennessee. Damn, they some fucking house. Yeah, I'm just I just Google all this shit. Shit, some Knoxville. Anywho, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Back to no less than the Odyssey in the shoe.
SPEAKER_01You're talking about the shoe. That all that shit was a tangent. Um too. I enjoyed it. It was a good one, yeah. And we still back to the shoes. See, yeah, don't pick off. I made our way back. This looks like a Cole Han with a backwards check on it.
SPEAKER_00Those definitely look like they were a rejected, uh rejected World Cup shoe.
SPEAKER_01He stole those from the set of the movie, probably. It's called the Nike Moon shoe. Is that a was that a real shoe? And it's just it's like Nike's virtual ever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know the stuff yeah, Jock Moose's been doing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just a backward swoosh. You got hit with the Travis effect, you fell for it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, these are customs, these gotta be customs, they don't look special.
SPEAKER_00I mean, the moon shoe is as bare bones as a shoe you can get. You got a waffle outsole, originally had like nylon up, and you got laces in the tongue. What do you what do you expect? Um, he just turned the swoosh backwards, uh, took him to a denim factory, got raw indigo treated, and spilled some wine on the laces. I mean, no for me. I don't really care for the moon shoe personally. I s it looks cool on other people, those good on women, you know. If you're one of those high-fashion MFs. Is this shit coming out? I don't think it's coming out. I think it's like then he wore it with that suit. It looks awful. Um, yeah, it's just uh that's a look. His character probably wore those in the Odyssey to fight and draw swords and yeah, argue with Tom Holland or whatever the fuck he's doing in the movie.
SPEAKER_01I'm not mad at this. I'm not mad at it, it just doesn't like it. If they ever drop, you'll you'll buy like somebody somebody'll yes, somebody'll buy it.
SPEAKER_00I don't get mad when Travis wears shit because he's just being a like a rich influential musician person. It's like when he did his phantom cleats recently, he was just seen in the Caitlin Clark and all black. Like he's just doing Travis stuff, you know. I can't be mad, but I don't get like super excited about the stuff. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02I gotta say, I wore those, I wore those tropical pinks last night. Yo, they crease so bad. That's because they probably define I can't believe how bad. After one wear, they might be fugazed. You gotta post a pic. I need to see them. Uh I'll I'll I'll send you guys a pick.
SPEAKER_01My uh mine didn't crease yet at all.
SPEAKER_02I wore I wore the other pair.
SPEAKER_01You got a wider foot, probably. I do, and I I tend to I started walking funny when I started buying new sneakers, so I don't I don't walk with normal when I'm wearing a nice pair of shoes or a pair of shoes.
SPEAKER_02You're one of those guys that tries to walk without creasing his sneakers.
SPEAKER_01You got crease protectors too? I did buy the plastic ones back in the day, and them shits oh god, those are the worst, bro. It's like a torture device. Oh, yeah, that's like kind of wide foot, bro. Yo, I was trying, I put them in a pair of LeBrons that LeBron's already fit snug. LeBron, I put them in a pair of, I forgot, I think in 2021, uh, we went and we were in Arizona. I bought uh is the LeBron 20, no, no, LeBron 1818.
SPEAKER_00Oh, hold up, hold up before before we continue. LeBron O'Palmer Lowe's. You with your wide foot and your unique gait bought a pair of heavy ass, even in the low top, because I remember those LeBron O Palmer Lowe's. You bought those mini tanks that already fit weird and narrow at the toe, then put a crease protector made of plastic in them and wore them in Arizona on vacation.
SPEAKER_01I wore them all. We went on a balloon ride, all the shit. I swe my toes didn't bleed crease. I just put it in there because I like I was like, oh, it's such a cool shoe. It's probably fly net. It's not, it's not the retro, it's the fucking yeah. I don't understand why I put the thing in there. Yeah, it was a LeBron. I'm mad that I want to remember what that shoe was. Yeah, LeBron 18. Let me look that up. Yeah, I don't think, yeah, and honestly, you're right. I don't think it creased. It had a mess. I think it was FlyNet.
SPEAKER_00It was something like that, but man, the blood and sweat and probably pus from the blisters inside of that soulbox.
SPEAKER_02Torture. It's fucking torture, man.
SPEAKER_01This is the shoe. Um, oh, I could just switch the tab. There it is. That bad boy. It's a good-looking shoe. I loved it. It is not flying. It's not fine, it says it's some kind of engineered mesh or something. Some sort of plastic. The nine is much better.
SPEAKER_02It should have stopped at the nine with that.
SPEAKER_01The second, yeah, it is a mesh. Um, but when I got back, I wore them only once on vacay. I got back, I returned them to wherever I bought them from, and they ended up I got a 12 and a half. I haven't put on my feet yet, the new one. You won't either. Yeah, they sitting. Yeah, I don't think you I might as well sell them for like 93 to bucks here. Uh that's how much you would think you would give them? That's cute. That's what this guy thinks he could get. But that's a smaller size, though. Speaking of, let's talk about this. This is pretty cool. Um, they are oh, I didn't have the tab open. So, did you hear about Boys to Men finally got a signature? I mean, uh What's the name of that group? Boys to Men A B C B B Damley. Long overdue. I like this shoe, man. Wait, they had close-up pictures. These, no, this is not the picture I saw. What the fuck?
SPEAKER_00It looked like I saw one with like waves on it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what is this shit?
SPEAKER_00That's the one that they wore uh for the MLB All-Star performance, if I'm not mistaken.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Let me go find that real quick. Let me take this off. I'll I'll go find it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I did see. I saw the ones that they had on feed, but also saw like another sample pair that had like like waves in it. I don't know if that was That's the one I saw. Scrapped or a second colorway or what have you.
SPEAKER_01I'm looking for it now. I didn't even hear they were still performing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we all know the relevance of why they got an 11, right?
SPEAKER_01Yes. Because of the red they wore the Jordan um 11 stage. Which one was the Space Jams?
SPEAKER_00Or I don't remember. Concords or Space Jams. I can't remember. I think it was Concord.
SPEAKER_01I think it was Concords, yeah. They're both the same shoe. Um, yeah, this one has like this is the way the the polka dots. Look, I'm not mad at it because I think there's a place for it, but whatever.
SPEAKER_02Not on my feed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the story's cool though. I like it. I do this is interesting what they did here. This is something I thought a CDG would do with um their Jordan 11. You know what?
SPEAKER_00If the CDG collab that they are releasing had that kind of pattern, kind of like how they mess with the phone positive, the phone positive, though. Hey, H, this might have been probably one of the best, most creative things you ever said on this show. 52 minutes in H came up with a fire eye, and then with the polka dot CDG does polka dot sometimes. Hold on, man.
SPEAKER_01I'm just this is already here, though. This is not like new.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, throw some ears on the collar of that shoe, and it's you can walk around Disney. That shit looks like Mickey Mouse to me.
SPEAKER_01I know, right? Put some eyeballs on it or something. The rat in the space, good old Nick. I respect this. I fuck with it, Jordan. I mean, they're running out of ideas, so it looks better in that colorway.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like that looks way better, especially with the effect that they put on the patent.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, and you put on a Nike Tech, that shit'll look great. You said Nike Tech. Well, you went back to 2012 on them. No, you would have. I mean, this that's the only way you could wear a shoe like this. I don't know how else you'd wear this. I don't know. I don't wear Jordan 11, so I don't know. You're old. I wear Jordan 11s, man. They're not wearing Nike Tech. I'm just saying, that's the only way I could be able to pull it out. Or just wearing like all black, like like something like this, you know, like a like a you know, whatever.
SPEAKER_00Man, you got all them clothes, all that money. You can you can pull these off. You'll figure something out. Yeah, you gotta figure some shit out.
SPEAKER_02Don't buy them, whether you wear you know, you won't wear them, don't matter. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00When is the last time you put a Jordan on your foot?
SPEAKER_01The other day when I wore the shoes that Drew got me.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh, but that was the the the pink um Travis Scott's? That's the first Travis Scott I ever put on my foot, too.
SPEAKER_00Ever? Of all the Travis Scott's you have, that's the first one.
SPEAKER_01Ain't no way I didn't I've never put my T-Rexes on. I still got I got tons of Travis Scott's back there still.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you have a considerable amount from what I remember, and not once. Quick little truffles walk, uh, caviar nugget pickup. Nope. Everything's gotta go.
SPEAKER_01They're all being sold, bro. Well crazy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, don't forget your boy and you and I wear this name size. So if anyone's having any trouble with it, I got you, yeah. I mean, you probably got a lot of these. Um I do not. Oh, okay. I don't hate on Travis Gasp, but I just don't like the effort. Like, I'll look at some of my friends even older than me. Kids, jobs they gotta be to in a few hours, partners in bed waiting, and they're like, Okay, refreshing the page. Ah, still loading, password page still up. I'm like, fam, if y'all don't stop hitting the group chat with this bullshit, like it'll be like election night. And it looks like the Travis Scott website is still password pending, okay. So we're uh oh, he just updated the Discord coming soon, fam. What could soon mean? Well, if you look at the last time Travis Scott was seen, he was on tour. So you gotta think about the time zone he's in. Chet. Yes, that's a factor that we gotta put into play. I'm like, Well, I say, Yeah, if y'all don't go to fucking bed for a raffle that's already cooked, look at goat. All the sizes are up there at the same price, they straight from Travis's factory. Like, go to bed and stop.
SPEAKER_01I gotta go get me a pair of the ones that Drew got, the tropicals. I love those.
SPEAKER_00Aren't those relatively affordable now?
SPEAKER_01I'm waiting for them to go under 200. I mean under 300.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna say under if I'm gonna say under 200. Oh, we are in some weird. They're headed that way.
SPEAKER_01They're headed that way. What is the price currently? I'm I'm curious.
SPEAKER_02They're not that I mean stock X for Travis Scott.
SPEAKER_00It's not a crazy oh no, it's this is that mystery box. You could try it, trade a supreme mic for them.
SPEAKER_01You could trade here. It is it pulled right up. Trade a supreme mic for it, hide this. It's 322 in our size on stock X. Oh, it's going up in price now. Damn.
SPEAKER_02Well, the shy pink is is 350 in a 12.
SPEAKER_01They're moving up. I thought they were going down. I could have bought this at 300 last week.
SPEAKER_00Shit. That's not a waiting. More than I will want to pay for a shoe that I'm not really interested in, but not bad for the people who want them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the size 12 is 322.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's over it was 307 or something last. Oh, yeah, look. That was the last sale, too. 307. Yeah, price is going up. I wonder why. Is it tax season or something? What's going on? Summertime. I don't know. It's weird.
SPEAKER_00The Jordan, the Jordan 4 brick after bricks.
SPEAKER_01Who did that? 727.
SPEAKER_00Oops. Oops. It's a lot, it's a lot of shoes that um damn, they went hot. Are available for prices that I thought would be way higher. When I saw how much stores were selling brick after bricks for, I was like, whoa.
SPEAKER_01Oh, these must be like those buy now.
SPEAKER_02Remember, stock expuls sells data, not just from stocks at stock X pulls it across lots of platforms, so it's confusing.
SPEAKER_01Speaking of pink, since we're on the pink topic, let's talk about Sophie Cunningham's PE.
SPEAKER_02Why do I gotta be Mr. Pink?
SPEAKER_01I want to be Mr.
SPEAKER_02Black. Why do I gotta be Mr.
SPEAKER_01Pink? Mr. Pink, Mr. Black.
SPEAKER_02Okay, everyone wants next week.
SPEAKER_01This is coming out. Now there's a lot of confusion around this because the social media buzz has been she's getting a signature shoe. No, it's not a fucking signature shoe.
SPEAKER_00Yo, it shows the people who voted who took advantage of the educational program of No Child Left Behind because reading, brother.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I'm talking about some big creators in the basketball space were saying this is a signature shoe.
SPEAKER_00I got tired of seeing this shoe because everyone's all like, I'm going out to support, I'm buying five, I'm buying ten. Probably have never watched a WNBA game. Probably don't know that this woman averages like nine points. Don't understand that this is a PE. Also don't understand that, dude, there's G League players that get PE's. Like, this is not a SIG. I don't have anything personally against this young lady or anybody in the WNBA. I don't align my political or racial ideations with sports. I'm out of that, man. I'm watching the sport for the sport. But y'all, please read, bro.
SPEAKER_01Just read. I got I got a theory about this. We talked about it on yesterday's pod. This shoe was already gonna come out because it's coming out on the 24th. There's nothing that signifies that this is her shoe, besides the fact that they said it's her shoe. That's that's no look at it. It's just a regular ass colorway. I think they said, hey, we're coming out with a pink one. This bitch is not right now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, not mad at her, not mad at Adidas. Oh, she's capping her legitimate fans. I mean, Nike does it too. There'll be a time where a shoe's gonna come out, and this is either gonna be just a general model, um, or for somebody else, and things don't work out. Like, for example, the phone posit was supposed to be Pippin's shoe. And Penny was like, nah, run that. I want that. Um, like you said, the turnaround time was really quick. The colors don't really speak to, you know, unless pink's her favorite color, and we just don't know.
SPEAKER_01I mean, she's been on a few teams, so who knows?
SPEAKER_00I don't know what she she's been around the league. I but it's it's just the discourse behind it which makes it all tiring. People are shitting on her for getting a PE. She doesn't deserve a signature, it's not a signature. There's people who do less in the league than her, whether it be WNBA, NBA, they get PE's. She's a hot commodity right now. It'd be stupid for Adidas to not give one of their, you know, most notable as far as news goes. Like I said, she's not out here averaging 25, 30 points or whatever, but everybody talking about her. So take advantage of it.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, people like, uh, why is she getting one over so much? Like I said, she's not getting a signature, she's getting a P. Bronny James got a P. You know what I'm saying? Like players get these. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I know. So I mean, the whole, like, she's you know, look, Caitlin Clark's enforcer. That's a whole other thing. So I kind of wanted to talk about it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, that was that was my favorite thing, reading the comments of people who probably, like I said, never watched a game of basketball. Like, there's a couple like famous people, some porn stars that were in the comments going, like, I'm buying five pairs.
SPEAKER_01Dog, it's really a race war. So I've I've done the short some short stuff. Um, I was telling Drew when we like I follow this WNBA stuff, so I see I'm on Reddit and I see all the highlights go up. So every morning I've been going on there, every morning's been Caitlin Clark. Caitlin Clark, Kayla Clark. The other day when she did that egregious flop, uh, that thing kind of went viral. It's almost at like 12,000 views, I think, on TikTok on our page. But her the last the thing she did yesterday when she she got fouled. I felt she got fouled because there was contact. But the fact that she got up limping and all that other shit, and then like the minute the you know, they didn't call the foul, or you know, minute she started reacting, all of a sudden she's walking straight and having you know what I mean, like and yelling at the ref. And this has been going on all season, and the history of it goes all the way back to high school with her. Like, nobody likes her. Like, no, she cried, she cries at every call. She's been doing this. Her father had to like pull her aside many times. There's highlight reels of this shit. So this is just the way she is as a player.
SPEAKER_00On the Caitlin Warpath, or no, I'm just saying that's just the way she's great.
SPEAKER_01I love and I keep saying this, she's a good player, but she is no way, shape, or form. Kareem Abdul Jabbar was right when he made that comment. She should not be the face of the league. She's a brat, you know, and as long as she she's not even playing good right now, by the way. She's not playing good right now.
SPEAKER_02So the why shouldn't she be the face of the league?
SPEAKER_01Why shouldn't she be able to play?
SPEAKER_02Because she's a brat. Look at you talking about her. Look at you going viral making videos about her, but she doesn't bring attention to the WMBA.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but that's not the face of the league. The face of the league is supposed to embody people wanting to play in the league, people enjoying the other players. Do you enjoy the players? Oh, the best player? Uh no, I think the face of the league should be the person who embodies the values of sportsmanship plus is popular. She doesn't do that.
SPEAKER_00She does one of those things.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we ain't back in the 1990s anymore. It's just, I mean, they don't put the phase of like innocence on on uh in front of the league anymore.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Asia Wilson is objectively the best player.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but Angel Angel Reese is like, I think, from popularity standpoint, is right up there. Plus, she she she embodies confidence and leadership, like just but she's she's really stepped up in that. But also, like Caitlin just doesn't, to me, has not proven that she is worthy of face of the league status. She doesn't speak up for shit. She doesn't say anything like like you know Paige Becker's, that's another one that could be the face of the league, too. Speak speak up for what? Just I mean, like other players for like uh Jordan was the face of the league.
SPEAKER_02Was was he a phenomenal person? Did he upstand the values of no?
SPEAKER_01They made no there's a difference between man, they gave that to him because he was popular, had shoes, all that stuff. That was dude, come on. The league changed rules to make him like stand out.
SPEAKER_00So, but you gotta look at that. Like the face of the league is objectively, or I should say subjectively, somebody can cash in on somebody that can play commercials and roll out.
SPEAKER_03And then it's influential, you know.
SPEAKER_00You you know, you say stuff like sportsmanship, you know, and shout out Andrew Reese, but she has some questionable moments on and off the court, too. She's thrown teammates under the bus and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but look at them in Atlanta now. Like she's she's grown up, she was a kid vet. Come on, all these they just we're they're thorough three-year vets now at this point, like three years in. Everyone from that class, that which was a decent, very good class, is thriving in the league and doing well, not you know, the doing playing their roles, doing their parts, and and being great players. But Caitlin is kind of taking a step backwards. She did speak up for stuff in the league, like, yeah, we need to get paid more and shit like that. And she got paid, they all got paid. Now it's like, okay, now you got all these fucking people coming out to see you, black and white, because I know a lot of brothers, a lot of brothers that stand up for Caitlin Clark, which makes no fucking sense when she does all this. Dumb shit. And then I'm looking at it like yo, she's not that good. She's not as good as she was crazy to say, bro.
SPEAKER_00That's not exactly crazy to say, bro.
SPEAKER_01I'm talking about like as far as like her progress. Dude, look, 20 20 and 6, 26 and what, 3? So she that's what she averages. But she's a volume shooter, very low percentage shooter, right? And those for a point guard, yeah, she has good court vision, but they're not like that great. I mean, and in the East sucks right now. Indiana, Atlanta's Atlanta and Indiana are kind of like neck and neck for one. But Angel Reese changed that other team around, while Caitlin Clark, this team is kind of in the it's there. They should be winning. They have a lot of good players. They got what four people that are all stars?
SPEAKER_02So does the face of the league have to win? Like, do they have to be the best team?
SPEAKER_01What do you think?
SPEAKER_02I didn't, I get I'm not asking myself.
SPEAKER_01Well, I want to hear your viewpoint since you have a lot of questions. What's your what's your stance?
SPEAKER_02Why are you so argumentative?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just asking you. I don't know. You don't you ask questions, but you're not giving me like what I'm not trying to be argumental.
SPEAKER_02I'm trying to figure out like I responded to my point of view as her being the face of the league. I gave you responses to my questions.
SPEAKER_01So you think she's the face she's deservant of being the face of the league?
SPEAKER_02I don't whether I think she deserves it or not, I I don't see I don't have the same reaction that you are. To me, it's someone that's influential, that's why she's the face of the league. It has it, she could be the best player with the best morals, with the best, she's influential. You people talk about her online, she's influential, she has a buzz. Okay, so because she's a brat, because she's like plays dirty, because she fucking falls down and cries when no one hits her, right? Like LeBron.
SPEAKER_01LeBron doesn't do that. Not 99% of the time. But to the point of where what we're talking about here is that she's not I hate to use the word role model, but she's just not a good role model. She's not a person, she's not she she doesn't embody why do we look to athletes to be role models?
SPEAKER_02They don't they're not they are though, they are they're not, they are they're not. They should are artists, are artists role models? Do you look to musicians and rappers or yes, people do that because it is spot?
SPEAKER_01Jay-Z's a role model of mine. I aspire to be like him, and so and other people.
SPEAKER_02Should you not get into sports if you don't plan on being a role model? Is that like a criteria? I disagree. Why should it have to that responsibility?
SPEAKER_01Why do I have to why do you think they have they have things where you they say, hey, you have to abide by a certain dress code? You can't say certain things, you can't do you like if they if they're all because it's part of their job, it's like HR, right?
SPEAKER_02These are the things you can't do in your job.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but how many cokeheads do you know that work in finance?
SPEAKER_02A ton.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02A ton. No, no cat, like a ton.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_02And I work with a ton of degenerates.
SPEAKER_01But do you think that the horrible humans back in the 80s and nine and 70s? They didn't mandatory drug test everybody for cocaine because everybody was on cocaine. Now they do it, and now you can't do cocaine no more. Why? Because you have to be a certain that back then that league was a bunch of drug addicts.
SPEAKER_02It doesn't really stay in your system that long.
SPEAKER_01That's why semantics off the table. I'm just saying that they cleaned up the league to the point where Michael Jordan could become a role model. I want to be like Mike, I want to do this, I want to do that. And that legacy carried on to LeBron and other athletes. And yes, they have a certain moral code at that. Why do you think these guys have these basketball camps and and these um charity events, all that stuff? Because they have a certain standard that they want to live up to so they can keep getting more money. The guys I was literally about to say money, yeah, exactly. But but that's but yeah, but that's not making that's even worse. But Caitlin Clark is a person, mind you, she's not a bad person, but she doesn't stand for shit. That's the problem. How do you know? Because she doesn't say anything.
SPEAKER_02It doesn't mean she doesn't stand for shit. Maybe she's just exactly what that means.
SPEAKER_01I'm talking about just other players' ethics and stuff like that. She cries more about how the refs are bad. She doesn't even know the ref's names. You know the one thing because I've done a lot of research on this and understanding like how these systems work, right? You have to think like if you're trying to get a call, at least know who the fuck you're cursing at.
SPEAKER_00Like, for example, man, like if you look at if you look at Paige, if you look at Stewie, if you look at Sabrina, I'm sure all those fantastic women stand for something. I don't know what it is, though. And that's not my job to from a league standpoint.
SPEAKER_01That's what I mean. Like, what are they like like Paige just came out with a statement that there needs to be more women, black women coaches or something, uh recently. Uh, she does stuff for they they do all these little charity, they meet and greet with the fans and stuff like that. Caitlin does everything she's been doing has been for some for the most part financial benefit, right? And she doesn't uh like I said, just embody good sportsmanship, like even from the bait, you can say LeBron flops and shit like that, but come on, like some of the stuff that that that I see from this this Caitlin Clark is just ridiculous.
SPEAKER_02It's ridiculous. Why do you work? Why do you work? Why do I work? What the what? Why do you work to make money, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, do you do do you think about your moral obligation as you're collecting your paycheck every time?
SPEAKER_01There's things that I do that I that at my that I ever need for money. Yes, I do think about this. I am not gonna say where I work, but they are partnered with some companies that I do not agree with, and I have to deal with that bullshit every day. And I go home, smile when I get a check, but deal with that and actively think about how can I get away from this or invoke some kind of change or something?
SPEAKER_02But I just don't think it's fair to put those people in the position to force them to have to be role models and then stick your kid in front of an Xbox and have him play Call of Duty for hours upon a day, right? Like it's just doesn't make sense to me. To me, it's yes. Should people be obligated if they're in a position of influence to influence good things? Yes, should they be required? No.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I don't, I I don't, I don't think I don't want somebody telling me what to do. It's not about telling people what to do, it's about understanding what you need to do. That's different. Because it there's a reason why they gave her a signature because she inspired people, got all these fans, boys and girls, loving this game.
SPEAKER_00They give her a signature shoe because it's gonna make money.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I know, but I think she's a solid athlete.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it's people who've done less that got signature shoes.
SPEAKER_01There, there are people, and I know this is like uh as it's gone political, and Congress has stepped in now to say protect Caitlin Clark, which I think is ridiculous. Yeah, but as it's gone that political route, now like those those die hard fans, the people who have grown with her from college to now. I watched her in college, I enjoyed seeing Angel Reese do the thing to her in her face because that bit sorry, I gotta stop calling her that girls. That girl, that girl was just a horrible, like crying about everything. She taunted people as well, and she just looked like like not a good one what happened to sports, man.
SPEAKER_00Like, it's so crazy how like and you're old enough to know this, like the bad boy pissing era, they was literally fucking Mike up, and that was like prime basketball, and then somebody who's used to get in their way, maybe, and who's a little bratty, it's like this bitch who gotta be a role model for the kids and shit. Man, like I grew up watching Malice in the palace and Big Ben Wallace and then get physical, and now it's like there's still people that do that, they got enforcers in the WNBA, is way more violent than the NBA, by the way.
SPEAKER_01Like these girls, man, they be pulling hair.
SPEAKER_00I just don't understand each other, punching each other. Like, look, you might not like Caitlin Clark, but there's a lot of I think she's great to watch, sure.
SPEAKER_01Sure, you do.
SPEAKER_00Like, somebody could be pause not your favorite person and also hold a special place in their field. As you know, we you're not the biggest fan of the man that's on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but he's the president, you know what I'm saying? Like you might not like her egregious flopping, and the thing with Caitlin Clark that throws me off is all the political discourse behind it. It's coming from people who don't give a shit about the game that just want to be like they want to protect the assets. This white woman needs to be, you know, yeah, you know, this is another example how we're superior people. I'm not here for all of that. Um, but if someone's the face of the league, man, the the people decide, even if it isn't pushed in their face and influenced by the league. Like you say that about Jordan, like they push Jordan in your face, but like people will reject something that they don't agree with, but people agree with it. But then people come out to see her, fever jerseys sell out, super hype building up around her signature shoe. Like it is what it is.
SPEAKER_01Like I think it's gonna be a it's gonna flop. Everything's gonna start, people are gonna start backing off of her because now this the league is way more popular. When Paige and these other players are outperforming this girl and beating her, when they beat her in a game, you know, it's like, oh shit. I didn't know that other girl can shoot a ball too. I didn't know that other girl did this, I didn't know that other girl did that, you know. And and Reese is beating her, Angel's beating her twice this year. So Angel Reese fans are starting to be like pop up even more.
SPEAKER_00I mean, like, um, it's it's a lot of people, like when you look at rankings that are you know, averaging better. You know, you got you know, Alyssa Brianna Stewart, you know, Stewie. You got I don't know with Sabrina, how she's been playing on watch too many Liberty games.
SPEAKER_01She's cool.
SPEAKER_00You know what I'm saying? But it's just like she still draws, not she'll draw the fans, yeah. She'll draw the fans. Yeah, now it's all gonna depend on how well she plays. She goes to another team or if the fever improves. So many different factors. I can see her leaving. But right now, she is a conversation. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's true, and then and in the face of the league, like you say, you can still argue. There's certain people that will fight you up and down, no matter your political ideations or your race, if you just credit Asia Wilson.
SPEAKER_01People don't talk about her like they talk about this one, and it doesn't make any sense.
SPEAKER_00Doing any controversial shit. People love to talk about controversy and drama. She go out there, she plays ball, she kisses bam, she sells a shoe, she go home. She went. You know, sometimes that's not enough to get people talking. Like true fans of the sport, true lovers of basketball, whether it's men or women, they're gonna talk about Asia because that's what they're there for. But the people who just showed up when Angel and Caitlin came to the league, the looky loss and shit like that, they're here for the drama, they're here for the blah blah blah, they're here for that, you know. So they're not gonna talk about Asia because they don't really know what sport they're looking at for real.
SPEAKER_01Look at this Kelsey Plum.
SPEAKER_00That's another person who just joined Adidas.
SPEAKER_01Dog 20 20 24, 2 6. She's outperforming Caitlin right now, having a breakout season. She's a five, she's 5'7, right? She ain't that tall either. 5'7, shooting 52%. She's shooting um point guard. She's the best point guard in the league, in my opinion. She's um, she barely made the all-star team, I think. I don't think they put her on the all-star team. Oh, yeah, they did. They did. But she she's like off, she's coming off the bench. She should be starting, in my opinion. What are you gonna do? Yeah. Let's let's pivot. Drew has a beef with with the public when it comes to the engagement on LeBron shoes on socials. I actually like this. I actually like this topic because it's about LeBron. No, it's it's interesting because when okay, so Drew sent out that challenge. I don't know. Oh, you're not doing you don't make content.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I did it's uh 20 days of LeBron's, right? Because you we're always doing challenges with Nikes and Jordans or even Adidas and New Bounce. I figure, all right, no one ever talks about LeBron's, and at least on our side of sneaker talk or Instagram or whatever. Uh so I thought I would do it. What's so the question is LeBron pack the whole package, right? The story behind his shoes, the packaging, just even the accessories you can get. It just feels like that's everything. If that was in a Jordan or a dunk, it would be it would fly off the shelf. But as soon as you slap the the LeBron on it, it's trash, it's complete trash. Now, take it with a grain of salt. I I do understand a lot of people just don't like LeBron silhouettes, but still the sneaker in itself has has everything as a sneaker head we want, honestly. It really does.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna say this that nigga's shoe has been $200 since 2012. That's why nobody buys LeBron's everything. You gotta be able to buy, you gotta be able to afford the shit first. And yes, to your point, they're bulky. Uh his styling, like he he a lot of his DNA is in those shoes, and he likes the air bubbles and all that. He finally conformed to the Kobe style of shoe, and they're selling better, but still at that higher price point. You could get a Kobe for $20, $30 cheaper. You might as well get a Kobe. So it's I don't know. Cari, I want to hear your perspective. You look like you're in deep thought right now, but that's the way I feel about it.
SPEAKER_00This one's just simple to me. Uh, the shoes look like ass.
SPEAKER_01So even the newer ones, like I like the lows.
SPEAKER_00The lows look cool, and they haven't bought, but like the 23s are cool, but it's not just the newer silhouettes are assy, it's like you said, the high price point and LeBron's at the tail end of his career, and also the consumer, we dress different. So those basketball shoe fits, like it was really a narrative going around until recently, until people start wearing AE's with shorts and bringing back retro models. Like, do you wear basketball shoes outside? And I it it changed, so those factors like you could pack everything, you could pack a little magazine and a lenticular box and a hang tag and a little figure of a lion. Bro, if the LeBron 24 look like poop, I don't care what's in the box. I'm not spending $220 on poop. Like it works with a Jordan because we already like that silhouette. Like, you like the 11, you like the four, you like the one. Now you're just getting stuff that you like with extra, like the dunks. I was already gonna buy an SB Dunk in a clean colorway. Now you're telling me I can take the swooshes off, and it's four different sets of laces, and there's a hang tag that glows in the dark. That's just icy.
SPEAKER_01How many of us really play with all those accessories? That's switched out the swooshes on those Manchester dunks.
SPEAKER_00But I have another good point that you just made. Like, you do all of that when at the end of the day, when I'm being practical, I'm not carrying those swooshes in my pocket, I'm not switching them out mid-date. I'm not gonna be like, hey, babe, come here under the table. But you see my hang tag is going through the she's gonna text somebody and be like, call me and make up an emergency and get me away from this man child right now. I don't know. You're gonna say you wore LeBron's on a date. Strike one.
SPEAKER_02Oh I'm gonna say another unpopular thing though. I don't do you wear hang tags on your shoes? I don't like it. Like, I never wear the hang tag on my shoes. Oh my only hang tag I will wear is just if it's an off-white, you know, zip tag, and that's it. I keep them on my threes.
SPEAKER_01I don't that I don't mind them on the three because it's it's it's it's a little square thing and they come with a little chain and it looks pretty cool, you know.
SPEAKER_00If they if they were like decent quality with the chain still, I probably would, but the constant of stacking it against my feet will get annoying. When it's the like paper plastic ones with the little plastic wire, I'm always worried that if I did wear it out, it's gonna come off or it's gonna crinkle up. That's only on the four, though, right? They might do it on the threes now. I can't remember, but I only seen them on the fours. I just take them off. Like I know certain people argue, nah, you're not OG if you don't do it that way. That's cool. I don't want to be like you, I'm taking it off.
SPEAKER_01I take the stickers off my hats, too. So that's a different I put them at the bottom here. Somebody called me out. Well, no, no, they called Eddie out on that in the comments, like because he was when he was talking about the um wearing um basketball shoes with jeans and shit. And they were like, this nigga still got a sticker on his hat. It's just cultural, I think.
SPEAKER_02People like everything majority have them, the stickers on, then take them off.
SPEAKER_00I just think everyone's got out here wearing purple jeans with the whole tag hanging up.
SPEAKER_01Remember when it was actually a thing, like to keep the tags like on starter coats, they used to keep the tags on the starter coat, the stadium jacket. That was when I was like yeah, you return that shit, man. But I think I think the I'm gonna I'm gonna do more of those LeBron videos this weekend. I didn't I thought we had to do one like every day. I was like, this motherfucker wants me to do one. No, nobody has that much time on their hands. That's crazy. 20 days straight of content.
SPEAKER_02I've been doing challenges for the past three months for 30 days.
SPEAKER_01Damn, you need to go outside, bro. Do something with your life. That's crazy. It's hilarious, bro. I don't go outside, but I can't I have I have such a like me. I since I figured out a system, I can make these quickly. But system, yeah, you put too much time into it, though.
SPEAKER_00I think it's that's I mean, I don't think does it take that much effort to sit in front of your already established setup and then hold up LeBron and talk about it?
SPEAKER_01It's the edit editing. Yeah, stop talking so much, and maybe it's not even the talking, he does more elaborate edits. I just me, I just put the shoe in front of the camera and put a thumbnail on it. That's it. And I banged out five videos in an hour, and I don't know, it probably takes you an hour to make one video, right? Yeah, so it does.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then you have to edit that. No, it takes me an hour from start to finish to start to finish it. Yeah, for one.
SPEAKER_01And you use like Cap Cut and you use it on you do it on your phone still. I use my computer. Oh, look at that. Look at the evolution. I remember you say you're doing it on your phone at one point. Oh, well. Cap cut on the computer is not that bad.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, it's for dummies. That's why I like it. It's super easy to use. And no one wants to hear us talk about fucking content editing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I'm just saying, like I well, you you're the one that suggested that. I but I thought it was interesting because and actually we should rewind a little bit. I don't I don't mind doing content like that for the sneaker stuff. It's better than the long form videos because um I could actually just pull out whatever and talk about it. And I never talked about those shoes. I wore them hooping before before I actually started doing YouTube. And um, I seen no YouTube comments, TikTok, people coming out. Oh, that shoe's dope. I seen, you know, I like that thing, like the Christmas LeBron.
SPEAKER_00LeBron got some LeBron got some stuff and his graphics off for sure, but compensating for high price points and off-putting designs, just not enough to put in that bag for certain people. Yeah, yeah, or like you know, when you start grasping that straws and then people start defending the should be like, but the performance is not okay. All right, that's not okay.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, and and the super low engagement has been interesting, just there's just not a lot of people that really it's just how polarizing it is. I because I don't, I mean, Jordan's the goat for me, so I'm not getting into that debate, but I don't dislike LeBron sneakers because I'm oh no, he's the goat, right?
SPEAKER_00Like I just a couple LeBron sneakers I still you know appreciate would even wear, but these newer ones, like I said, and at these prices, I'm I was interested in that first colorway the 23, but it was super expensive. They only made a few. I was like, man, I finally had something I was kind of interested in. When they give up on the retro so quick, they'll drop a colorway the retro that was sort of popular. Like they don't they don't come out the gate with like they did it, they did it with the eights with the South Beach, but then they won't hit like people with the colorways of like the nines, they won't yo, where's the cannons? They'll drop some like what was that weird my Miami Vice colorway that wasn't. Even a retro and I'm like, bro, why did you do that? Like, y'all, y'all killing the line, and then they'll look and be like, see, no one wants these retros.
SPEAKER_01But the Miami Nights one? That's a retro.
SPEAKER_00No, the Miami Vice, not the Miami. Oh, I never heard that. What what LeBron did that go on? The nine. Like, why did y'all do that? So then, like people are waiting for stuff like, oh, when they're gonna do the LeBron 10 where the nines and the eights didn't sell, and I'm like, that's because he made like two decent colors, and the rest was random shit. Like, I like the uh LeBron Laker 8s, but like then they didn't really drop anything else. That's no it was no, that's an elite that you know. Oh, you know what a Miami Vice or some shit like that, or something off with sucked.
SPEAKER_01I I bought these I bought these, or the pink one.
SPEAKER_02I don't remember which one I bought with the fur on the orange ones, are the the best of the bunch.
SPEAKER_01The Big Bang. No, yeah, the Big Bang, but I bought those those things with the fur on the side, but not that colorway.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I did my video on the LeBron Four fruit fruity pebbles today, and oh I can't imagine hooping in that shoe. It's like a cement shoe. Oh though we're called a heavier shoe. The fours are I just it's funny.
SPEAKER_00They're awesome, they're cool looking, but my gosh, they're heavy as hell, their tank, yeah, they're boots.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, ooh, Miami Knights. The Miami Knights retro is beautiful. Uh, but I don't see that Miami Hurricanes, Miami Knights, Miami Home.
SPEAKER_00Maybe I got the name wrong because it sucks so bad. Oh, but they were like super duper clearance at one point.
SPEAKER_01I like this shoe. And the sprites. I got yo, you know how many pairs of sprites I have? Holy shit. Okay, I got these shits on sale, too. I got a bunch of these. Oh, it's a 2011. Oh, okay. Never mind. I don't like the lows. I like these.
SPEAKER_00I like some of the colors on them. I think the lows are cool. Yeah, cool. And the time, oh yeah, they were outside, especially the solars.
SPEAKER_01These are dope. I might wear these one day. Sprites. I got I got I got three different sizes of that shit. Because I couldn't, I didn't know my LeBron size. I didn't know my LeBron size, man. I can't. I went from 12 and I tried, you know, if they had a 12 and a half, I had to jump all the way to 13 for these low for the older LeBrons because his narrow ass feet.
SPEAKER_00And you just he just kept three pairs of LeBron sprites.
SPEAKER_01I couldn't return them. But his feet are fucked up. You know, he's not really that narrow foot. His foot conformed to that narrowness because of the he always jammed his foot into a smaller shoe. Sad, sad story. But he's a billionaire.
SPEAKER_00He can get him fixed. He can get a foot replacement and he's done it. And he'll be right as rain. He can be out there coaching the uh whatever Las Vegas expansion team that they're about to have.
SPEAKER_01Are y'all feeling the um the uh new GT that um uh yeah.
SPEAKER_00I like it. February 2027. AJ the Basta, baby.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's not his, but this is coming out in 2027?
SPEAKER_00All-star game, that's what the word is. It's crazy looking. I'm probably gonna end up doing the same thing I did with the GT Future, but yo, definitely getting them, but then getting them, and then being like, oh now, aesthetically, love the GT Future. The fit and the comfort is why they had to go. But seeing as AJ didn't kick these off mid-game like he did the GT Future, I think we are gonna be all right. I hope her colorway comes out. But I would love to see all the other colorways, all the potential that these can have. I guess phone posit vibes. Mm-hmm. This is Wemby. Yeah, the GT line has been uh trending that way because the GT cut what four looks very phone positive like yeah.
SPEAKER_01This should have been a Wemby shoe. Now that Wemby's no longer a willing participant. That's a deal. Did he say well they heard something about him recently? He just signed some deal.
SPEAKER_00He's got um he's got some collection coming out with Nike, but they were trying to say he was gonna be a Nike free agent. But like, besides a big company like Adidas, who already got a a growing roster, who can afford Wimby? Like he's a superstar, he just went to the finals, like and he's gonna demand a signature shoe. That's somebody that's gonna sell stuff. Besides Nike, like, where is he realistically going? Lee Ning just dropped the bag on Curry. Maybe Anta could get him, but he doesn't have any like history with that brand. Him being a French player, all he really knows is Nike. They got a logo form, he's got a history with him. As we've seen with that shoe with AJ Devancer, they got models in the archive that they probably ready to roll out. Where else he's going, man? Yeah, go ahead and give him a signature, and I can give him something funky like that.
SPEAKER_01They should. They haven't had a big man's signature in a minute.
SPEAKER_00They just don't give him nothing KD19 looking. KD-19 looking.
SPEAKER_01Nothing too crazy, but LaMelo Poomer makes official debut at Minnesota Timberwolves. There's nothing cutting New Balance ain't doing shit anymore. This is Kobe pack.
SPEAKER_00New Balance just rolled out a new model with action bronson. Yeah, I don't care about that shit.
SPEAKER_01This is cool.
SPEAKER_00You say you don't care about that shit, and you just show me some Iron Man Kobe 9s. Please stop.
SPEAKER_01Kobe 9, Philadelphia Eagles, and then they're gonna come out with the polka dots on the six. Dear Vanessa and Kobe brand. Hey, let's I'd wear these. These are fire. No, you wouldn't. No fucking. I would. These are weird mountains.
SPEAKER_00Some of these look like Instagram creator customs. Like some of these, like, come on now. Moss should be upset.
SPEAKER_01It's an Iron Man, right?
SPEAKER_00Like, what is that, man? What is Kobe's history with Iron Man? Like, what is that, bro?
SPEAKER_01Who knows? That's the thing. Who knows, bro? They just they just throwing, yeah, they just throwing anything like fried chicken color, whatever the fuck, on his shoe now. I don't know if this is Vanessa Bryant, because like Nike did the right thing when he passed, and then the the wife got involved and fucked everything up because she demanded more. And I'm like, then if you want more, then put out Kobe Grinches for everybody.
SPEAKER_00I think you got I think you got that story wrong. I think your narrative is a little warped on that one, but well, I don't know what they're doing, but I know but she she hasn't.
SPEAKER_02They did put out Kobe Grinches, they did the reverse Grinches.
SPEAKER_01No, we're talking about the Grinch Grinch. They did retro the Grinch Grinch.
SPEAKER_00They didn't put out enough pairs because it's still fucking a thousand dollars. I mean, that that was at the time that anything that that Iron Man 9 would have sold out at that point. Yeah, but that's fresh off his pass. Yeah, it was I like this.
SPEAKER_01I thought they retroed this already, this Boltero. They did that colorway? I thought I thought they did that already. Oh no, that was it. There was one like purple. It was like purple and something different. Boltero's solid boot. I like them. I got the black on blacks. Yeah, those are what? Why did you buy those? Uh I did a video on them, but they sent me a fucked up pair, man. It had scratches all over it. I can't sell it. Was it the Steucy ones or just the figures? I knew it had to be some hype reason why you bought a pair of those.
SPEAKER_00No, I like them.
SPEAKER_01I was I was I was I was thinking of wearing them. I guess I have to wear them now since they're all fucked up. Unlinen, the Kiff Unlinen. That's kind of fire.
SPEAKER_00I like that. You can tell you like not in the shoes for real, because all the shit has been talked about across all platforms, and you find out about it now. Like you just find out about the KIF pack. That's great.
SPEAKER_01I haven't been following shit, bro. I've just been selling.
SPEAKER_02Hey, there's the action bronson. Scroll up. You were saying new bounce. There you go. Oh, it's a chunky shoe.
SPEAKER_01Is that chunky? Am I tripping? I mean, like, what is it like? Does it look chunk? Is that is that like a Pharrell shoe? A Balenciaga? It looks like a Balenciaga. I don't know if I'd say it looks like a Balenciaga, but it does, yeah. This is his own. They gave him his own silhouette.
SPEAKER_00Well, he's done a lot for the brand since he's joined them, so well deserved. What's he done? I mean it looks like the 2010 with those uh heel units.
SPEAKER_01It's a 2811. Yep.
SPEAKER_00Military time.
SPEAKER_01Baklova. Let's see. There's another phone posit, something or other coming out. I'm just scrolling.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, one done. The camo.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh, the Lawson. Um they're coming out July 25th. I'll get those. I like those. Slay Ben Barry and Puma. I thought Slay Benberry made his own brand. What was the time where he's been had his own brand? I know. But I thought he went away and stopped collabing.
SPEAKER_00Nah, he has the freedom to new balance and puma and his puma stuff hasn't really been. I guess because Halley is hurt, but like you don't really hear too much from his puma stuff.
SPEAKER_02But I guess it did stuff with Crocs.
SPEAKER_00Oh, their stuff with Crocs, catapulting Crocs. Crocs owe him the world.
SPEAKER_03Like you're not wrong.
SPEAKER_00I know Crocs was being worn all over the world before Salahi got here. Yeah, before anybody jumping the car. Sam, I've been wearing Crocs to my restaurant job since yeah. Congratulations, no. Go get my put the fries in the bag, bruh. I'm talking about to pop culture, bro.
SPEAKER_01These Miami Moores are dope.
SPEAKER_02Scroll back up to those phone posits. Oh you're scrolling too fast.
SPEAKER_01I just opened up another window.
SPEAKER_02My buddy sent me a picture of those. They were at the uh Vegas sneaker con. They were pretty interesting. They look a lot different, or they looked a lot different, and the laces were wild. They were chains.
SPEAKER_00I see it right there. Wow. For those who are audio only, we're looking at the Victor Solomon phone positive.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the Victor Solomon phone posit. And you got the whole, they have Air Force Ones and Air Max. And Air Maxes. And they had them all at SneakerCon in Vegas.
SPEAKER_00It's basically like his All-Star stuff, except black instead of white, like it was at All-Star Vegas.
SPEAKER_01They got two sets of laces. You get the wax leather with the gold tips. Oh, and it's got little lace locks. That's cool. That's type shit they should put on regular shoes. So your shits don't like when you when you loosen up the laces, they don't start flopping everywhere. They should somebody should sell them shits.
SPEAKER_00I wish there was a way that like those laces, like when they're loose, if you could like just tie them.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying. Like this is this is the I mean it's it should be a little more subtle, but pull them through the back of the tongue.
SPEAKER_02Like the tongue tag, that's what I don't phone through the back of the tongue.
SPEAKER_00I sew them in. I pick up on it now. If only if only these phone those two things could like somehow form together and be tied and tethered in the point of the shoe.
SPEAKER_01Well, if you'd want if it's a lot of people where their shoes uh don't lace their shoes, this is a cool little accessory. I like it. Cool. Awesome. Yeah, should get into that. That's that's fire. All right, this shoe is cooked.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah, I mean that's another WNBA player right there that you scroll right past.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Maya Moore. I saw I had this up on the screen before.
SPEAKER_00There you go.
SPEAKER_01Oh, what's her name? Um Collier. Yeah, she's great. Isn't she like the president of the league or something like that? Or like the the you did you said you did all the research. Hello. I know, right? Expert. I'm not an expert. I don't even know. I don't know who this chick is, but she's good. I don't know who this chick is, but she's good.
SPEAKER_02So how do you know she's good?
SPEAKER_01She's the face of the league because she stands for something. I seen that, I seen a hooping.
SPEAKER_00You have to stand for something. You have to you have to be a role model for the children.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_00For the youth. The kids are watching. For the youth. Yeah, people. Oh, everybody going right there, your favorite.
SPEAKER_01Her shoe, I like her shoe. Snow white. That's your favorite kind of shoe. I mean, she this is the demographic she's going after. I was waiting for it.
SPEAKER_00Low-hanging fruit. I was waiting for it.
SPEAKER_01This is what they're trying to do. Snow white. My daughter's white. Uh let's see. That's a dope. I like that though.
SPEAKER_02I like her shoe, even though it looks like a like a it looks like fish gills. Yeah. Like for real. Like shark gills.
SPEAKER_01Scales or something. Like a swamp thing or whatever. Whatever.
SPEAKER_00Somebody's skin if they had a fever. Indiana fever. There it is.
SPEAKER_01Oh, what are these? Nike first. Okay, style. What are we doing? Oh, we talked about those a couple weeks ago. Never mind. Oh, these are fire. That's a new balance I'd wear.
SPEAKER_00Consent 990s. So your your assignment going forward on this show is to go to this website and go to at least page five before you start the stream. Before you launch StreamYard, do this, pick out some stuff you like. I'm gonna treat you like a kid at a picking store.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I haven't gotten into this. Oh, we talked, we were talking about these SBs on our um our thread. Drew, you don't like these, right?
SPEAKER_02Uh I mean, I I wanted to talk about that tonight, but I'm tired of them throwing SB on everything. It everything doesn't need to be an SB anymore. I forgot. We just need to stop with the the just spreading of the SB logo.
SPEAKER_00I guess I gave the forces a pass for the simple. I thought that was a cool release.
SPEAKER_02You know, I'm like, cool. But the 95s are constantly releasing the 95s.
SPEAKER_00What else did they just put an S the phone posit was just egregious?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we didn't talk about that. I think it dropped that they that news came out the day after we shot the other pod. So, what do you guys think about the phone posit?
SPEAKER_02Let me um it doesn't need I don't understand the the co-brand with SB. Like who's skating in foam posits? Like for real. Not that you need to skate your shoes, but like honestly, it just doesn't make sense, it just feels like a cash grab.
SPEAKER_00And it was the simple fact that uh everyone who was defending the shoe was quick to point out that clip, that promotional clip from what was it, 2009, whatever, of the dude skating in foams. Yo, bro, that's not something he openly chose to do from what I heard. I heard that it was like for a release or for an event, but even still, when you think about the logistics of skateboarding, like, hey man, I need something. Like, I was at the skate shop last week. Kid came through, ended up buying a pair of blazers. He was skating in cons. He was like, Yo, I want something comparable, which you know, I'm 16, I don't got a lot of money. Great skate shop, people have archives, great customer service. My boy John hooked them up, showed him some different, showed him some different brands. Da da da. He was like, you know what? You skating in kind of similar to the Blazer kid, tried them out, loved them, was happy that the price was what the price was. Man, phone pause is $200. Phone positive was always known to be a super duper expensive shoe. And it's not even good for skating. Yeah, skaters looking for the next pair. We're not 30 bucks. Yeah, cool. This is I can I can beat these up. Man, where were they even coming across foams on sale back in the day? Like foams until recently were not going on sale, they were super duper expensive, and then they became like certified hood classics, so then they became expensive and sought after. Like, look at look at how a foam positive shake, the shank plate, like that's not conducive for skating, fam, or basketball. I'm about to say it was barely, it was barely, you know, a certified hoop shoe. You had to still have skill. It wasn't known to like, oh, I'm gonna get mad air, and they were heavy, you know.
SPEAKER_01They had to mold to your foot. You had there was a break-in period. There is a break-in period for these because that foam has to mold to your foot. That was the whole deal.
SPEAKER_00People still got buckets and foams and shoes with foam material, don't get me wrong, but you got to think about the moves that you're trying to do on a skateboard.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, it's like sandpaper against that. I mean, honestly, trying doing a do a kick flip. Trying to do a kickflip in that. I mean, I can't even imagine the damage from like doing two to the shoe. You're totally gonna scuff the entire time.
SPEAKER_01You use your toes, like move your toes a little bit. I guess you have to. Yeah, you you twist it's the way you twist and push off the the uh grip tape.
SPEAKER_00It's it's so many different SBs, whether it be the ones that we used to, like dunks and stuff like that, and then you got signature skaters who got models, you got old school classics that ain't been seen in years, and you got new ideas that y'all can roll out. Like, certain people do like some of the new stuff like Nigel uh stuff or eyeshaw stuff, or even like non-sig stuff like the vertebrae. Who's the phone positive folks? The collector. I've seen people like dragging skateboards are like, bro, what is Nike doing? This is Supreme's fault. Like, I've seen so many different like y'all see so many different things, and it's just like y'all, it's not too late to cancel this one. Oh my god, I reserve final judgment, like with all things until the rollout and stuff, but the price is I just don't think it needs to be on everything. I think that definitely, I I agree.
SPEAKER_02I agree as a as a SB head. I just feel like it maybe it's just the the asshole in me. Like literally, I just think it should stick to kind of its ethos, you stick to the dunk, dunk highs and lows. Although that dunk high that's coming out, have you seen that joint with uh modeled after the dude's pool? Ooh, pool model. I forget his name. It's coming out in I think the 25th of July.
SPEAKER_00Oh, patent leather hit, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02The pet the blue patent leather hit on the column.
SPEAKER_00I can't remember and it's all white, yeah, yeah. And I feel so bad because I was just looking at it and I was gonna read the story about it.
SPEAKER_02Um about the pull up. Beyond Nike. It's beyond Nike SB Dunk High. There we go.
SPEAKER_00Thank you for saving us, Trick.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna save us. You want to try a role model?
SPEAKER_02This is the I mean, this is the first SB Dunk High that they've released since I guess the anti-hero. And to me, the anti-hero is more of a almost like a strap. Yeah, they just never everyone hates SB Dunk Highs. It's like Jordan one lows. Yeah, that's that's yo, it's for sale already. Holy shit. I'm about to cope. That's crazy. I cannot believe it's there already. That's not easy to cop if you want it.
SPEAKER_01155, that's not bad. Trying to save money, so I'm gonna I'm gonna put a bid in right now. I might just buy it for 169. I like this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but you're over 200 bucks with fees. You if it's gonna sit, you might as well just pay retail.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, bro. Yeah, but when is this coming out? 20 next year?
SPEAKER_02No, a couple days in in uh next week, the 20th.
SPEAKER_012008, it came out already. It's a retro.
SPEAKER_02That's wrong. It's not it's a retro before it got released. It's already retroed. It's coming out this month, and I think it's the remember that nine-minute timestamp of I gotta stop buying shit.
SPEAKER_00That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Yo, there's a special bot. No, this dude, it came out in twenty oh twenty seven, eight. Oh, so yeah, it's either delayed or they just this is the wrong date. Yeah, ooh, horse hair. Stay focused, stay focused, come on, stay focused. No, these are slept on. People don't understand how dope this show is.
SPEAKER_00It's like I'm talking to a cat, bro.
SPEAKER_01This show is this show, this shoe. People don't realize how dope this candy corn is. Come on, shit's fire. I'm gonna put these on this weekend, actually. No, you're not gonna see this.
SPEAKER_00Bro, this is getting like I gotta feel a scientific formula. You get distracted, you look at some shit no one cares about, you recognize you have them, slash you need to get them. And if you have them, you say you're gonna put them on, and then you never put them on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Should I sell my Maui Wowie's? Nah, man. No, I don't know. Think about it. Sleep on it. I like that shoe. I like it too. You want it, you got oh, you got a pair, right?
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. I take another because I want to cut it up.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I wanna let you cut it up. You cut up the one you wore.
SPEAKER_02The underneath is super cool. It's got that uh green and orange.
SPEAKER_01Oh, look. Oh no, these are 340 before the 370 now. I could have bought them at 340, but Drew said not to. You know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I'll never live on the strawberry cough moment. I could have bought a live cop. That would have been a moment.
SPEAKER_02That would have been 250,000 views on TikTok. The guy that spends 400 on two baseball hats is talking about you know wasting his money on you know 340 bucks on a pair of shoes he wants.
SPEAKER_01I bought these in 2021 or 2020. It don't matter.
SPEAKER_02No, that's all worse. Poor as fuck with your two Supreme microphones and fucking God knows what else.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's not my fault they gave me a credit card. It is, you apply for it. They just send them to my house, and I'm like, what's the limit? It's going to pre-I do want to say something to you, Kari. I told you all that bullet stuff did sell out. It did not, sir.
SPEAKER_00Okay, they didn't do the online sale. It did not, brother. I know somebody that got a pair like two weeks ago or a week ago. Two weeks ago, but it's actually bro. When did it come out?
SPEAKER_01You said you was waiting for the sale. It wasn't on the sale.
SPEAKER_00There's nothing up. No, they took they didn't they only did it in the store. Exactly. So how do you know it wasn't on the sale? Did you go to the store?
SPEAKER_01They put out a uh a list of what was on sale on the leaks.
SPEAKER_00The only reason it probably wasn't on sale is because it's collaborative product. And Mitchell and that's probably was like, no, that shit did not sell out.
SPEAKER_01They put on eB eBay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, my homeboy got it with the disco from his from his notes that worked in there. That shit didn't sell out. No one is buying a 498 Washington Bullets one championship with Elvin Hayes and 1972 ass jacket.
SPEAKER_01I I bought it because you're a fool, bro.
SPEAKER_00Like now the jacket's fire. You would buy the stuff I let go bullet shot at the MCO Center when they play.
SPEAKER_01I buy the guns that Gilbert Arenas brought into the arena.
SPEAKER_00I do like the uh I missed out on. I was thinking about some of that stuff, and when I went on eBay, it's under I found some pieces that I want to under retail.
SPEAKER_01No, the shorts are the basketball shorts are going for. I don't want the it's just that not a lot of people are buying them. Uh most of the people who bought them are keep wearing it, I guess.
SPEAKER_00But that's the thing, Supreme. Supreme hype is uh live just in a different way. People are not out here. Certain items going resale regardless. MM6, dunks, stuff like that. But people are buying that shit to wear.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the shorts are fucking. Yeah, the denim shorts seem to be the most like um sought after piece in this collection, which I don't understand.
SPEAKER_00Thought after is wild.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm the prices, people are buying them. These are what 180, I think.
SPEAKER_00How much were they? I saw somebody buy a pair of those shorts, yeah. Not those shorts, but the basketball shorts, and they was like, Yeah, these are crazy. And I'm all like, You're a Wizards fan. He was all like, This is a team. I'm like they thought it was some made up shit.
SPEAKER_01I was like, wow, oh my god, they changed to the bullets what in the 90s? I think it's like to the wizards in the 90s, I think. They were still the bullets. I don't remember bullets back then. But um, you can't find any of this shit on here. Oh, Zoo Yorks. I have this, I have this 200 bucks. I have the whole set and the shorts. Of course you do.
SPEAKER_00That looks fire. I can only imagine that people who listen to this audio only how much of a slog this portion of the show get when you start fucking looking at shit and they don't have no idea what you're referencing. Right?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, the Zoo York. I was looking at the Zoo York um soccer. It's not helping, it's not helping at all, bro. Like football uniform.
SPEAKER_00Not helping at all.
SPEAKER_01You gotta check us out on YouTube, Chris Weber swing man.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we should just stop uploading on podcast platforms because I know besides that whole besides the people who want to go to sleep to this shit. I know they probably like, what the fuck are they talking about? All the people that endure this, I'm not even being sarcastic.
